Install and update

System requirements

	Mac	Windows
System	macOS 13 (Ventura) or later	Windows 10 or later, 64-bit
Processor	Apple silicon (M1 or later). Macs with an Intel processor are not supported.	Intel or AMD (x64)
Internet	for signing in, activation, updates and DFBnet; the match itself runs without it	same as Mac

For the audience you also need a second screen, a projector or an LED wall on the same computer. Scorilo runs on one computer; a license covers two devices (see Trial and license).

Install on a Mac

1. Download the macOS file (.dmg) from scorilo.de.
2. Open the file and drag Scorilo into the Applications folder.
3. Start Scorilo from the Applications folder. If macOS asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet, confirm with Open.

Install on Windows

1. Download the Windows installer (scorilo-setup-….exe) from scorilo.de.
2. Run it. You can choose the installation folder; the installer creates shortcuts on the desktop and in the Start menu.
3. Start Scorilo from the shortcut.

If Windows shows a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning, check that the file came from scorilo.de, then select More info → Run anyway.

The first start

The first time you start Scorilo, you sign in in the license window and start the trial or activate your subscription, as described in Trial and license. Scorilo’s start window then appears briefly, followed by the control window.

Scorilo uses your operating system’s language if it is German, and English otherwise. You can change this under Settings → General → Interface language.

Updates

The installed app looks for a new version every time it starts, as long as it has an internet connection. It downloads an update in the background; a running match is not interrupted.

• Settings → About & Updates shows the installed version and the update status.
• When an update has been downloaded, select Install and restart there. Otherwise Scorilo installs it the next time you quit.
• To check yourself: on a Mac Scorilo → Check for Updates…, on Windows Help → Check for Updates….

Do not update during a match

Install and restart quits Scorilo. If the clock is running, Scorilo asks first. Install updates before or after the match, not at half-time.

What a version brings is listed on scorilo.de/versionen (in German).

Uninstall

• Mac: Drag Scorilo from Applications to the Trash.
• Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Scorilo → Uninstall.

Your matches and settings stay on the computer. If you want to take them to another computer, first create a Scorilo document with File → Save As… (Saving and files).
