Trial and license

Scorilo needs a license. You sign in with your email address; there is no password. Prices are listed on scorilo.de/preise (in German).

Sign in

Without a valid license, Scorilo only shows the license window.

1. Enter your email address and select Send code.
2. Enter the 6-digit code from the email. It is valid for 15 minutes. If no email arrives, check your spam folder; after a minute you can request a new code. Other email address takes you back.
3. If you already have a license, choose it. Otherwise Scorilo asks How do you want to use Scorilo? and offers the trial and the subscriptions.
4. In the Activate this device step, give the computer a name, for example “Press box laptop”, and select Activate and start.

The trial

Try for free starts a 7-day trial on one device. You do not need payment details, and it ends on its own.

The whole match day works in the trial: creating matches, the clock, goals, importing media, music, DFBnet import and copying to the clipboard. Anything that writes data to files or reads it from files is locked:

• Save and Save As… of a Scorilo document, Open… and Open Recent,
• Import Package… and exporting packages and media,
• File → Export (CSV, Markdown, editorial data).

Your work is still kept: Scorilo saves everything automatically on this computer. If you subscribe during the trial, you carry on without restarting and can then save files too.

Subscribe

• During the trial: Select Settings → License → Choose a plan, or Choose a plan in the message that appears when you save.
• When signing in: Select Subscribe monthly or Subscribe yearly.

Scorilo opens the payment page in your browser. Payment is handled by Stripe. The license window waits until the payment is confirmed, which usually takes only seconds. If you closed the payment page, select Open payment page again.

You can also buy Scorilo on scorilo.de/preise. Then sign in to Scorilo with the same email address.

Two devices

A license covers two devices: two Macs, two Windows PCs or one of each. If you activate a third device, Scorilo shows Both devices are in use with the two devices. Replace deactivates one of them and activates the new one. You can do this up to three times within 30 days.

Settings → License shows the plan, the status, the email address you signed in with and the devices:

• Deactivate frees another device.
• Manage subscription opens the customer portal: payment method, invoices, switching between monthly and yearly, and cancelling at the end of the term. You can also cancel on scorilo.de/kuendigen (in German).
• Sign out on this device removes the license from this computer. This is not possible during a match (“Match in progress”).

Working offline

Scorilo checks the license online when it can. Without internet it keeps working for up to 7 days. When fewer than 2 days remain, a message reminds you to connect the computer to the internet once. The date is shown under Settings → License → Valid offline until.

When the license ends

A running match is never interrupted: if the license ends during a match, it stays valid until the match ends. After that, Scorilo closes the control window and shows the license window, for example with Your subscription has ended and Renew subscription. Your matches stay on the computer and are back after you activate again.

If the license ends while a Scorilo document has unsaved changes, Scorilo first asks whether to save them (not in the trial).
