Open the settings on a Mac with Scorilo → Settings…, on Windows with File → Settings…, everywhere with Cmd/Ctrl+,. They open in a window of their own; the match keeps running.

Changes in the settings take effect immediately. To keep them, select Save Profile at the bottom. Discard restores the last saved state. As long as something is unsaved, the bottom reads “Unsaved profile changes”, and Scorilo will not, for example, create a new match until you save or discard.

Keep Prevent screen saver and sleep mode switched on on match day. Otherwise the computer may turn off the screen or go to sleep during the match.

Profile protection prevents someone at a shared computer from changing your slides, display program or settings by accident. Everyone can still operate the scoreboard. A Scorilo document of a protected profile is encrypted.

  1. Select Settings → Profiles → Protect profile….
  2. Enter a password of at least eight characters twice and confirm.

From then on you lock and unlock the profile with File → Lock Profile and File → Unlock Profile…. A lock next to the match selector shows the protection.

Profile protection does not protect against someone with access to the computer’s files. Use separate user accounts in the operating system for that.
