After a crash
What is kept
Section titled “What is kept”If Scorilo crashes, the power fails or you have to restart the computer, Scorilo opens the same profile and the same match the next time it starts. The score, the period, the clock, all goals and events, substitutions, the lineup and saved drafts are kept. You do not have to choose anything, and you need no internet.
After a restart the clock is always paused. Scorilo does not add the time it was not running; you decide that yourself.
Continue the match
Section titled “Continue the match”If the clock was running at the time of the crash, Scorilo opens Timing and recovery with the notice “Match restored paused after an interruption.”, the saved time, the score and the time of the last save.
- Compare the time with the referee’s watch.
- If it differs, select Correct time… and set the right time (Events and corrections).
- Select Resume.
Result: The clock runs on. Goals, signals and media are not played again.
While the recovery is open, the display program and the break program are locked. If you close the panel, the decision stays open; you reopen it with Control → Timing and recovery… or Review saved match… in the message.
If the clock was paused or the match had finished, Scorilo simply opens it as it was.
How accurate is the clock?
Section titled “How accurate is the clock?”While the clock runs, Scorilo stores it about once per second. After a crash, the saved time can therefore be a few seconds behind the real time. In a power cut or with a faulty disk, Scorilo cannot guarantee that the last second was saved. Always check the time before you resume.
If the computer goes to sleep, Scorilo also pauses the clock and asks afterwards, as after a crash. Prevent this with Settings → General → Prevent screen saver and sleep mode.
If a message about saving appears
Section titled “If a message about saving appears”If Scorilo cannot save something, the message Save problem appears in the bottom right corner. It stays until the problem is solved and says when the last save happened.
- If the message offers Retry saving, select it. Scorilo checks whether the last action was already saved and never records a goal twice.
- If Scorilo then says an action was not recorded, record it again.
- If the result is unclear, do not record the action a second time.
One possible cause is a full disk. Free up space, then select Retry saving.
The display is empty after the restart
Section titled “The display is empty after the restart”Open the display with View → Reopen Output Window or Settings → Display → Open / restart display. The score and the clock do not change (Connect a display).
If Scorilo does not start
Section titled “If Scorilo does not start”If Scorilo cannot read the saved match state, it does not start with older data; it reports the error and quits. Your data stays untouched. In that case, contact support (in German) and quote the message shown.
